Mockbul Ali

Ali is of Bangladeshi descent. Ali was a policy advisor to three former Foreign Secretaries. In 2005, Ali was seconded to the Labour Party to work on the 2005 general election campaign.
Achievements

In 2010, Ali was appointed an Officer of the British Empire (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the 2010 New Year Honours. In 2009, he was listed as one of The 500 Most Influential Muslims by Georgetown University"s The Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim–Christian Understanding and Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.
Politics
He was also a member of the Foreign Office"s Engaging with the Islamic World Group (EIWG) and the Head of Prevent, Counter Ideology at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
