Career
Professor of French in the Colegio Nacional Vicente Rocafuerte of Guayaquil, 1902-1903. Of literature and the history of universal literature in the same, 1906-1912. Foreign twenty years secretary of the Guayaquil Fire Department.
Director of the municipal museum and library of Guayaquil, 1925-1931.
Editor of the Revista Municipal oí Guayaquil since 1925. Professor of Spanish in the Colegio Nacional Vicente Rocafuerte, 1932-1933.
Deputy to various National Congresses. Delegate from three cantons to the Assembly of Municipalities, 1933.
Journalistic Career: Editor and founder oí El Obrero, 1892.
Correspondent of El Tiempo, 1894. Editor and founder of El Cáustico, satirical weekly. Editor of El Grito del Pueblo.
