Background
Tarlov was born and raised in Manhattan, in New York City, to film producer and wine maker Mark Tarlov and mother Judy Roberts. On her mother"s side, both of her grandparents were Jewish immigrants, her grandfather from Russia, and her grandmother escaping Europe on the last boat from France.
Education
She attended the arts camp, Interlochen Center for the Arts and a New York University summer program in Paris. Tarlov graduated from Bennington College with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. After college, Tarlov attended the Atlantic Theater Company and LAByrinth Theater Company, where she wrote as well as acted in the LAByrinth Master Class.
Career
She is best known for playing the role of Sadie Saxton on Music Television"s television series Awkward. She is the youngest of two daughters. Her older sister is Jessica Tarlov, a political consultant.
As a child, Tarlov appeared in the musical "Bye Bye Birdie" at the Little Red School House.
Editorial In 1999, Tarlov had a role in the feature film, Simply Irresistible, which was directed by her father. In 2014, Tarlov starred in the movie G.B.F., a teen comedy written by George Northy and directed by Darren Stein (Jawbreaker).
