After attending the First Higher School in 1912, Momozo Kurata left to study the philosophy of Kitaro Nishida, which he continued to study under Tenko Nishida in 1914.
His first work titled "The Priest and His Disciples" created a great sensation. In 1926 Momozo Kurata published books titled "Shunkan" and "Living Man", in which he preached the love for truth and fellowmen.
