Career
She began her nursing career at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, in 1922. Three years later she relocated to Aldershot for midwifery training. Following World World War II she served in India as Principal Matron, the last QAIMNS sister to serve there.
In 1950 was served in Singapore as Matron for the QARANC. She retired in 1960.
Dame Monica Johnson Golding died in Bournemouth on 6 June 1997, aged 94.
