Moreshwar Wasudeo Chiplonkar graduaded from Bombay University in 1931 as Bachelor of Science, later he graduated from Banaras Hindu University in 1933 as Master of Science and in 1942 from Bombay University as Doctor of Science.

Moreshwar Chiplonkar had done research in Geophysics, worked as vice-president at Jyotirvidya Parisanstha organisation. Also was professor and head of physics department at University of Poona. Toured UK, France and Germany.
