Graduated from Sociology Department of Tokyo University (1938).
Career
Morio Tateno entered N.H.K. where he served as radio announcer until he was transferred to Commentators' Committee (1944). Became assistant superintendent and then superintendent of Office of Commentators' Committee (1951-1954). During this time he was also a news commentator and won favorable reception from listeners for his easy and clear manner of broadcasting. He went to America to inspect broadcasting activities (1953).
