Granger, Moses Moorhead was born on October 22, 1831 in Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Son of James and Matilda Vance (Moorhead) Granger.

Career

General William J. Reese, December 29, 1858. Practiced law at Zanesville, 1853-1861 and since 1865. Captain 18th United States Infantry, May 14, 1861.

Major 122d Ohio Infantry, September 10, 1862. Lieutenant colonel, May 1, 1863. Bvtd. colonel vols., October 19, 1864, for gallant and meritorious services in campaign before Richmond, Virginia, and in Shenandoah Valley.

Resigned December 16, 1864. City solicitor, Zanesville, O., 1865-1866. Prosecuting attorney, 1866.
