Etzioni, Moshe was born on August 28, 1908 in Galicia, Poland.
In 1932 he earned an LL.M. from the University of Krakow. Etzioni was an active Zionist in Krakow and immigrated to Israel upon the completion of his PhD in 1935.
Etzioni began his career in Jerusalem as a construction worker, only entering the practice of law in 1940. In 1942 Etzioni was appointed as legal counsel for the mandatory heavy industry. In 1945 he was appointed to the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court and later to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court. Upon the foundation of the state of Israel in 1948, Etzioni was appointed as President of the Haifa Magistrate’s Court. In 1949 he was appointed as a judge in the Haifa district court. In 1970 Etzioni was appointed to the Supreme Court, where he served until his retirement in 1978. Etzioni died in 1998.

Moshe Etzioni was a Deputy chairman Council Higher Education, Israel, the Vice president World Organization for Rehabilitation through Training Union, London. He was also the Chairman National Council for Promotion of the Rule of Law, Israel. Etzioni was the President Defense of Children, Geneva and Jerusalem and the honorary life member Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheba, Israel. He was the fellow Israel Bar Association and the member of Archeological Council of Israel.
Moshe Etzioni married Yehudit Span on June 17, 1943. His children are Yacob, Amos.
