Motoyuki Takahata attended Doshisha College.
Career
Motoyuki Takahata was imprisoned for an article he wrote (1908). While in prison, read "Das Kapital" and became interested in Marxism. Joined Baibunsha and Shin-Shakai, managed by Toshihiko Sakai (1911) and advocated socialism. He became interested in national socialism (1918) and published the magazine "National Socialist," Kyokugai (Outsider) and Kyushin (Radical). Meanwhile also translated "Das Kapital." In late life became nationalistic.
