The author, developed this book over a period of 10 years, gaining practical experience in teaching Turkish both in Istanbul and Ankara, and in the United States at the Defence Language Institute, Washington, D.C. This book is designed for a 90-hour course taught by native speaking language instructors. It is intended for use by students who have a knowledge of English and who have had no prior training in the Turkish language.
