Career
Originally from Tignar, a village a few kilometres north of Granada. He wrote a treatise on agronomy in 12 chapters entitled Zuhrat al-bustān wa-nuzhat al-adhhan (The Flowers of Garden and Intellect) for the Almoravid prince Tamim, son of Yusuf Ibn Tashufin. Prince Tamim was governor of the province of Granada and patron of First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Tighnari and other Agronomists and Botanists.
He was a strong advocate of fair taxation, food security and Agronomy.
