Career
The book was quoted extensively by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. He was born in the Hawran. This discord partly led to him settling in Saudi Arabia in 1965.
After being expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1974 (due to received reports denouncing his activities as subversive), he moved to Kuwait (where he founded the publishing house Dar al-arqam).
Later settling in the United Kingdom in 1984 (where he founded the Center for Islamic Studies), before finally moving to Jordan in 2004. Surur has also influenced Safar First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Hawali and Salman al-Ouda.
