宗敬 徳川
Muneyoshi Tokugawa was born on May 31, 1897 in Tokyo, Japan. He was the second son of Marquis Atsuyoshi Tokugawa (former Minister to Italy), whose family was one of the three main families of the Tokugawa line of Shoguns. Is younger brother of former Prince Kuniyori Tokugawa, member of House of Peers.
Muneyoshi Tokugawa served as technician of the Foreign Supervision Bureau of the Imperial Household, instructor of the Agricultural Department of Tokyo University and principal of the Hongo Middle School. Served as deputy floor speaker of the Upper House (1946) under Speaker Iemasa Tokugawa. Elected to House of Councilors once.
Attended the Peace Conference at San Francisco (1951), accompanying Prime Minister Yoshida. Chairman of the National Land Planning Association, chairman of the Japan Museum Association and vice-chairman of the Japan Forestry Association.
