Born in Toledo, Ohio, Rabbi Myer S. Kripke holds degrees from New York University, Columbia University and the Jewish Seminary of America. He has served Beth El Synagogue in Omaha, Nebraska, as its Rabbi from 1946 to 1975: and as Rabbi Emeritus since that time. For more than 20 years, Rabbi Kripke has taught Bible to universities: for ten years at what is now the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and since 1976 as Adjunct Associate Professor, Theology, at Creighton University. Since 1984 he has been writing a weekly 'Torah Column" for the 'Jewish Press of Omaha.' In 1980 he was co-author with his wife, Dorothy, of 'Let's Talk About Loving,' a book on love, sex, marriage and family.
