N.K. Sur worked as lecturer in Physics at Allahabad University, retired as Professor of Meteorology and Head of Geophysics Department at Andhra University, Waltair. He was a fellow at National Institute of Sciences of India, National Academy of Sciences of India. He wrote about 40 articles and research papers.
