Nagaprasad Nagajothi, American hematologist, oncologist. Achievements include development of simple method for screening for thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a potentially fatal disorder if not diagnosed and treated early; discovery of successful treatment of a rare lymphnode cancer in Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome patients; discovery of a rare blood and hormone disorder in pregnancy.
