Career

Chairman, Armenian Committee the Defense of Peace. 1957 severely criticized at Assembly of Armenian Literature and Art Activists for his novel “Mat” (Mother! for allegedly attacking Party’s Leninist nationality policy and for taking “inadmissible” stand on this matter. 1958 criticized Pasternak and demanded his expulsion from Union of Writers for his novel “Doctor Zhivago”.
