Career
He was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Perinthalmanna Constituency in 1980 for the first time, and re elected to the Assembly in all the General Elections till 2001. Served as the Minister for Education from 2001 to 2004 in A.K. Antony Ministry.
