She edited films like, and Born to a middle-class family in Delhi, she obtained a degree in Information Technology, but left the field to pursue film. She started her career as a graphic designer, also worked with NDTV for a while, before deciding to study film making at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.
