She attended Cambridge International School in Kumasi and graduated in 1999.
Career
Nana Afua was raised in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. Nana Afua furthered her high school education at Street Louis Secondary School studying visual arts Modelling
Nana Afua started modelling when she was scouted at H&Master in Central London mid-2009.
In the same year she started her catwalk experience at Louisiana Geneve North events working for established and emerging designers.
Nana Afua is one of the few African models to recently grace the September/August Issue 2011 of Black Hair Magazine which was voted best cover celebrating black beauty in America. She also appread in Pride Magazine as the face of the feature for "real women" and did editorials for Fabulous Magazine.
Nana Afua has walked in London Fashion Week for Matthew Williamson and the face for East"lon Cosmetics in America. She has grace most fashion and lifestyle magazine in the United Kingdom and also for American Online Magazine East"lon.
She has appeared in the Barking & Dagenham Post newspaper six times for her work ethic as well as the The Voice (newspaper).
Nana Afua is an upcoming fashion designer with the clothing brand "adopted culture" which was selected for Vogue Fashion"s night out September 2011. In record the label is the first ethinc brand to ever grace Savile Row in the Sartoria Bar Central London. Nana Afua recently started a presenting role which promotes African Music (afrobeats) with one of the leading Pan African television channel in the United Kingdom Vox Africa on the show "The Hi-Life which promotes Afrobeats.
Philanthropy
In 2011 Nana Afua established charity "Akosua ODei Foundation" which aimed at single young women/mothers living harsh lives in rural Ghana/ Africa which was inspired by an item on British Broadcasting Corporation News.

In May 2011 Nana Afua became an Ambassador with Save the Children International charity to assist organise a fashion show to raise money for the needy children.

She emerged in the modelling spotlight when she won Britain"s Top Model of Colour contest on 27 November 2010.
