Nanz Zekela, American conservationist, director. Achievements include research in the endocrinology of free-ranging mountain gorillas; development of laboratories in China to monitor ovulation of giant pandas; development of technology to monitor estrogen patterns in the Asian elephant; first to lead a team in South Africa for monitoring the behavior and endocrinology of the free ranging white rhinoceros.
