Entered Mitsui Mining Company, following retirement after the war, became president of Kagawa Prefectural Federation of Socialist Party. Elected five times to House of Representatives and served successively as member of central executive committee, chairman of control committee of Left-Wing Socialist Party and chairman of Standing Committee for Telecommunications of House of Representatives.
