Nasirul Alam

Background

He was born on 5 September 1977 in Lamabazar, Sylhet and is a right-handed batsman and off break bowler who is sometimes known by his nickname Nahid.

Career

He made his debut for Sylhet Division in 2000/01 and played to the end of the 2004/05 season. He scored 6 first class fifties, with a best of 89 against Barisal Division and claimed his best bowling figures of 3 for 5 against the same team He also scored 4 fifties in the one day game, with a best of 67 not out against Rajshahi Division.

Achievements

• He also appeared for Bangladesh in 1998/99, before the team attained test status and for the Bangladesh Cricket Board President"s XI in 2000/01 and the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI in 1999/00 and 2000/01.
