Organized, member of the King Cole trio, 1937-1948. Single singer and pianist, since 1948. Recording artist Capitol Records, including Nature Boy, Mona Lisa, Too Young, Christmas Song, Pretend, Answer Me My Love, A Blossom Fell.

Has appeared throughout United States, England and Australia. Motion picture performances include Adventures of Haji Babba, Blue Gardenia, Scarlet Hour, Istanbul, Autumn Leaves, Love Is an Impatient Thing, National King Cole Musical Story, all 1956. Numerous television appearances.

Chairman W. C. Handy Foundation for Blind, since 1951.
