Bachman, Nathan was born on December 13, 1832 in in Sullivan County, Tennessee, United States. Son of Jonathan and Frances (Rhea) Bachman.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Emery and Henry College, Virginia, 1857. Studied various periods at Princeton, Union (New York), and Union (Virginia) Theological seminars. (Doctor of Divinity, Southwestern Presbyterian University, Tennessee).

Career

Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1862. Pastor 2d Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, Tennessee, 1866-1876. In general evangelistic work, since 1876.
