Nazier was born in 1922 at El Obeid in the Kordofan, 200 miles south-west of Khartoum.

Educated locally. Graduated in veterinary science at Khartoum University then sent to England where he obtained a diploma in bacteriology at Manchester University and later became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Veterinary Branch) at London.
He began work as a government research officer in the veterinary service, operating at Khartoum, Nyala and Malakal. Then he returned to Khartoum University as a lecturer in bacteriology. At the age of 40 in 1962 he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Khartoum University, a post he held for six years.
His reputation as a veterinary expert tnade him an automatic choice for international committees for veterinary education, the campaign against animal sickness, skin disease, etc. He has travelled to over 20 countries to take Part in conferences or give lectures. Honours have been given to him by East and West the gold medal of the Charles University in Czechoslovakia and the gold medal by the Balzan Society in Italy.
As an academic devoted to unifying his country he accepted the chairmanship of the Conference on the South and has taken part on many committees aiming at harmonising North and South. This reputation for objectivity resulted in his appointment as Speaker of the Assembly.
Internationally recognised as a leading veterinarian, specialising in bacteriology. An academic authority honoured throughout Africa, he has devoted himself to university extension projects and the harmonisation of North and South in Sudan.
