Career
He is a retired International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards inspector and retired professor of physics at the Galatasaray University, Istanbul. He is a graduate of Galatasaray High School (class of "62) as well as Sidwell Friends, Washington Doctorate.C (class of "63), where he was the field service student of the school year 1962/63. He studied physics at Robert College of Istanbul, now part of Bosphorus University.
He earned his masters degree in nuclear physics and engineering at the Istanbul Technical University.
In 1970, he attended Saclay Nuclear Research Centre, Paris where he earned his doctor"s degree (Génie Atomique) in nuclear physics. Apart from his native Turkish, he speaks fluent French, English and German.
