Admitted to bar, 1878. Practiced at South. Norwalk, Connecticut, where was mayor, 1885. Organized, 1885, Baker & Taylor, book publications, which became, 1886, The Baker & Taylor Company, of which is president and treasurer.

Also president and treasurer The Fairfield Company, The Stuyvesant Company Cleveland Democrat.
