Career
He was nominated by the Taoiseach to the 12th Seanad in 1969. He lost his seat at the 1973 Seanad election. He was an unsuccessful Fianna Fáil candidate for the Dún Laoghaire and Rathdown constituency at the 1969 and 1973 general elections.
He published a volume of poetry, Turnings, in 1999.
