Career
Frangipane is believed by some to have been a native of Padua, by others of Udine. He flourished from the year 1565 till 1597, and executed a number of church pictures, but was more successful in mythological scenes, particularly the legends of Bacchus. At Padua, in the church of San Bartolommeo, is a fine picture by him of Saint Francis, painted in 1588.
And at Pesaro, an altar-piece in San Stefano.
But his most admired work is an Assumption, in the church of the Conventuali, at Rimini.
