Career
At first he was a priest of the Honkokuji Temple and then at the Hommanji Temple, both in Kyoto. Later he was invited to become a chief priest of Mt. Minobu, but declined the honor.
He averted the trouble between the Nichiren and Nichio sects that arose during the memorial services held in Kyoto at Hokoji Temple by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, over the rites in connection with the Daibutsu 1595.
