He is now a lawyer and media personality. American Federation of Labor-Congress career Originally from South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club North Adelaide, Holland was recruited by Hawthorn at the 1992 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft. Holland made his senior American Federation of Labor-Congress debut in Round 3, 1994 against North Melbourne Football Club at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at full-back.
During 2001, Holland suffered injuries to both shoulders and his thigh but recovered in time to play in the finals.
At the end of 2001, Holland signed a contract, worth millions of dollars, to play for Hawthorn for four more years. End of career Holland retired from American Federation of Labor-Congress football at the end of the 2005 season, following a shoulder injury sustained while playing for Hawthorn"s Victorian Football League (VFL) feeder side, the Box Hill Hawks.
Holland had played 179 games for Hawthorn and kicked 239 goals. Holland studied during his American Federation of Labor-Congress career obtaining both a Science Degree and a Law Degree and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria in March 2007.
He is currently working for the Melbourne law firm Holding Redlich.
Holland is an executive director of the Sports Law Committee. He also plays in the East. J. Whitten Legends Game, in which he Captained the All Stars teams in 2007 and 2008. Media Profile Holland made several appearances on the panel of The Footy Show and the "Rex Hunt Footy Show" during his football career and has hosted the football-related children"s television show Totally Footy on Channel 10, and Channel 7"s Around the Grounds.

Holland is currently an Australian Broadcasting Corporation (American Broadcasting Company) columnist, writes for Melbourne-based newspaper The Age and makes regular appearances on the American Broadcasting Company News show The Drum. 1995: Norwich Rising Star.
