Education
Mazzolini attended Providence College where he played four seasons (2005 - 2009) of National Collegiate Athletic Association hockey with the Providence Friars, scoring 25 goals and 42 assists for 67 points, while registering 147 penalty minutes, in 128 games played.
Career
He is currently playing for the Löwen Frankfurt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL 2), second German league. Mazzolini played his rookie 2009-2010 season in the ECHL with the Alaska Aces where he led his team in goals, assists, and points. He then played the 2010-2011 season in Italy with the Bolzano-Bozen Foxes, before returning to the Aces for the start of the 2011-2012 season.
Mazzolini re-signed with the Aces for the 2012-2013 ECHL season on July 25, 2012 and was named an alternate captain for the season.
He led the Aces in goals, assists, points, and +/- during the regular season. The Aces signed Mazzolini again for the 2013-2014 season on September 10, 2013 and named him team captain on October 25, 2013.
On September 7, 2014, the Löwen Frankfurt announced that they had signed Mazzolini to a one year contract.
