She competes in the 100 m hurdles and the 400 m hurdles. She ran a personal best of 53.97 in the 400 m hurdles in Osaka in 2007. She competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics where she qualified for the second round with the tenth fastest overall time of 55.75 seconds.
Wilson is the most prolific hurdler in National Collegiate Athletic Association history.
Wilson led Louisiana State University to the outdoor National Collegiate Athletic Association team title by scoring 18 individual points for the Tigers. In the summer of 2008, Wilson opted to forgo her senior season at Louisiana State University to sign a professional contract with Adidas.
Currently her 100 m hurdles personal best is 12.79 achieved at Szczecin, Poland in 2009. In the 2010 Commonwealth Games, she won the bronze medal in 400 m hurdles. A 17 time college All-American and 3-time National Collegiate Athletic Association Champion at Louisiana State University (Louisiana State University), Wilson is the only hurdler in National Collegiate Athletic Association history to win the 400 meter hurdles (pr 5397) and finish runner up in the 100 meter hurdles (pr 1285) in the same year while also posting a top 5 finish in the indoor 60 meter hurdles (pr 801).
