Moscona, Nicola was born on September 23, 1907 in Athens, Greece. Son of Michael and Maria Moscona.

Honorary degree for singing National Conservatory of Athens, 1930.

Career

Came to the United States, naturalized, 1946. Debut, National Opera of Greece, 1930, Italian debut, Cremona, 1937. American debut with Metropolitan Opera Association, 1937, leading bass-baritone, 1937-1975.

Sang at Teatro Della Scalla, Milan, 1938, also London Music Festival and Luzerne Festival. Frequent soloist under Arturo Toscanini.
