Axelrod was born in Leominster, Massachusetts.
She is the daughter of actor Sue Axelro. She was discovered at a local festival by local modeling agency, The agency picked her out of over 700 entries for her unique eye shape and smile.
Nicole then began to model for Disney"s Family Fun magazine, and walk in iParty fashion shows.
