Career

He is currently playing with Timrå IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second-highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system (after the SHL). Tikkinen was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 5th round (148th overall) of the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Tikkinen made his Master of Science-liiga debut playing with Espoo Blues during the 2012-2013 Master of Science-liiga season.
