Nikolai Krapivianskii, USSR State security official.


Krapivianskii, Nikolai was born in 1889.


Educated at the Chuguev Military School, 1913.


On active service during World War I as a Lieutenant-colonel. Joined the Bolsheviks, 1917. Took part in the Civil War in the Ukraine.

After the Civil War, commander of the Cheka forces in the Ukraine and the Crimea. High state-security and border-guard posts after 1928.


No religious basis is needed in order to display ethical behavior.


The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
