Currently, he plays for Football Club Torpedo Moscow. He is a brother of Pavel Pogrebnyak and Kirill Pogrebnyak. Pogrebnyak made his professional debut for Football Club Irtysh Omsk on 25 April 2013 in a game against Football Club Yakutiya Yakutsk.
