From 1937 till 1950, Head of Artillery of the Soviet Armed Forces. July 1941-March 1943, Deputy Minister of Defence. President of the Artillery Academy, 1950-1958.
Responsible for the enormous build-up of Soviet artillery from the 1930s to 1950s. Head of operations during the Battle of Stalingrad.
