Nikolai Anatolyevich Shishkin was born on 3 February, 1959 in Strelitsa, an urban-type settlement in Semiluksky District of Voronezh Oblast, Russian Federation.
Nikolai Anatolyevich graduated from the Law Department of Voronezh State University in 1985.
Nikolai Anatolyevich started to work as an assembly fitter in 1976. After graduating, he was working as an intern at the Public Prosecutor's Office.
In 1986 Nikolai Anatolyevich was promoted to the position of investigator of the Semiluk district Prosecutor's Office. During 1986-1989 he worked as deputy prosecutor of Khokholsky District and during 1989-1997 as prosecutor of Olkhovatsky District.
From 1997 till 2001 he was the head of the Law enforcement supervisors and legality of legal acts department of the Prosecutor's Office of Voronezh Region. During 2001-2004 Nikolai Anatolyevich was promoted to the Deputy Prosecutor of the Voronezh region.
In the years 2004-2005 Nikolai Anatolyevich continued his civil service as Deputy Head of the Main Department of Justice for the Voronezh region - Chief Bailiff of the Voronezh region and in the years 2005-2006 as the Head of the Department of the Federal bailiff service for the Voronezh region - chief bailiff of the Voronezh region.
From 2006 till 2019 he was the Prosecutor of the Voronezh region. Since 2019 he occupies the position of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
Nikolai Anatolyevich Shishkin is married and has two children.
