Topographer with the Kamchatka expedition of the Russian Geographical Society, 1908-1911. Professor of geodesy at the Petrograd Mining Institute, 1921. Chairman of the Committee on Aerial Survey.

Works on geodesy, aerial photogrammetric methods and cartography.
