1919 graduate Medical Faculty, 1st Moscow University. Then attended courses at Mathematical Faculty, Moscow University.
Wrote numerous works on aspects of physiology of movements. Improved techniques for recording and analysing movements (kymocyclography, cyclogrammetry, etc). Studied biodynamics of striking motions, piano playing and such locomotions as running, walking and jumping.
Studied dynamics of muscle-power, innervation structure of motor action by detailed biodynamic analysis of motions. Influenced the development of biomcch studies in the physiology of motion. Founded and directed laboratories of physiology of motion at various research establishments.
In his latter years concentrated on cybernetics.
Religion is bad because it gets people to believe something untrue.
