Education
1934 graduated Gorky Medicine Institute. Specialized in surgery and oncology in Gorky clinics.
Career
Specialized in surgical, chemotherapeutical and combined methods of treating tumors. 1955 attended International Congress on Plastic Surgery in Stockholm. 1958 headed Soviet delegation at International Congress on Problems of Physical Training in Brussels and International Congress on Combating Malignant Neoplasms in London.
Presented paper at 13th session of General Assembly of USSR Academy of Medical Science. Member, Executive Committee, International Anticancer Union and International Union on Problems of Plastic Surgery. Со-Editor, “Surgery” section, “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition.
Member, Editor Board, journal “Voprosy onkologii” (Problems of Oncology), etc. 1960 presented paper at 27th All-Union Congress of Surgeons. Member, Committee Convening 8th International Anti-cancer Congress.
Attended 5th Conference of Ministry of Health of Socialist Countries on Cardiovascular Diseases, in Moscow. Attended Soviet-American Session on Cancer in New York and International Conference on Cancer in Tokyo. Presented paper at All-Union Conference of Active Medicine Service Workers.
Deputy Chairman, AllUnion Society of Oncologists. 1941-1945 in clinics and military hospitals. 1947-1952 Professor, of Surgery, Gorky Medicine Institute, and Director, Gorky Institute of Plastic Surgery.
