Helped to establish Soviet regime in Tula Province. Served as volunteer on Civil War fronts. During 1920's worked for Tula Economic Council, cooperative Organs and Tula Province Institute of Party History.
1935-1967 worked at Institute of Marxism-Leninism in Gorky, then head, Department of Soviet History and professor, Gorky Teachers’ Training Institute. Works on history of Bolshevik movement and establishment of Soviet regime.
