DUBOV, Nikolay was born in 1875.
Studied at Saint St. Petersburg Theatrical College and Raphof Courses.
From 1890 with amateur theatrical groups. Actor with provincial theaters. Played in Pyatigorsk, Odessa, Saratov, Smolensk and Tula.
1913-1914 with Sinel’nikov Theater. From 1914 impressario at theaters in Omsk, then Irkutsk. 1920 founded and directed in Irkutsk first Siberian theatrical school.
Also did political and theater cartoons. Contributed theater cartoons to journal Budil’nik. After 1917 October Revol acted at theaters in Omsk, Irkutsk and Cheremkhov.
Specialized in character roles. Wrote reminiscences of provincial theatrical life. Roles: Uriel’ in Gutskov’s Uriel' Akosla: Paratov in Ostrovskiy’s Bespridannitsa (Girl Without a Dowry).
