During Civil War worked for People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Relations Department, Turkestani Commission, All-Russian Ccntr Executive Committee. From late 1920 associate, Turkestani Department, Communist International Executive Committee. 1926-1927 Telegraphic Agency of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics correspondent in Turkey.
From 1928 worked for Communist International. From 1938 associate, various sci establishments, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences, including Institute of the Peoples of Asia. Wrote over 40 works on India.
