KARAVAEV, Nikolay was born in 1890.
1920 graduated Moscow Higher Technology School.
Specialist in chemistry and fuel technology. 1926 studied Kuznetsk, Irkutsk and other coalfields. 1929 suggested industrial grading of coal fromKutnetsk coalfields.
1933-1936 worked on hydrogenation of solid fuels and resins, and synthetsis of hydrocarbons from water gas. Did research on semicoking of Siberian coals under industrial conditions. Main works deal with derivation, chemistry and technology of solid fuels and their products.
1920-1930 instructor, Moscow Higher Technology School. 1924-1932 at All-Union Thermal Engineering Institute. 1925-1932 at Moscow Chemicotechn.
