From 1931 professor, Tbilisi Medical Institute. 1949-1954 professor, Tbilisi Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. Specialized in helminthism and enterozoa.
Described Coccidia, Lamblia and Balantidia. Wrote first description of Taenia flavopunctata and Strongyloides stercoralis et intestinalis. Isolated Trichomonas elongata in apes and obtained a pure culture.
1936, together with Dcsh’yen, developed highly effective nutrient for cultivating protozoa. Studied long-term sequelae of operations for stomach and duodenal ulcers. Made extensive use of conservative treatment for amoebic abscesses of the liver.
Also studied the clinical aspects and diagnosis of subdiaphragmal gas abscesses. Did research on the clinical aspects of brucellosis. Studied the Geo health resorts of Borzhomi, Bakhmaro, Kodzhori, et cetera
Deputy. Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Soviet of 2nd and 3rd convocations. Wrote 70 works on internal medical and helminthology.
